Here, Principi di Butera's main grape variety is a prestigious native: Nero d'Avola, asymbol of the island wine-making culture aroundthe world. The vineyards, located at analtitude of between 320 and 350 meters above sea level, in the middle of two bands of hillsthat rise up to 700 meters above sea level, are characterized by a unique combination of ahot and arid climate, incoming breezes from both the sea and the neighboring hills, longand constant solar radiation throughout the year, and intense daily temperature ranges.Thanks to this unique climate, the typical features of the area and the great local wine-making culture, exclusive production methods have been experimented with, resulting in aseries of elegant, rich and long-lived reds, and a Metodo Classico with great finesse, thefirst example of white vinification of Nero d'Avola.
