Deep ruby red with intense fruity notes of small berries, followed by nuances of aromatic herbs and sweet spices. On the palate it is powerful, elegant, supported by a fine tannic texture and long savory finish.

Food-friendly wine, it goes well with tasty dishes: pasta with meat sauce, "Melanzane alla Parmigiana" and game stews.

Podere San Cristoforo represents one of the rare micro-zones able to produce a 100% Petit Verdot . The sparse bunches of Petit Verdot, constantly caressed by sea breezes, grow on the ochre coloured gravel soils of the "Morello" vineyard, in the midst of olive trees and hundred year-old cork oaks. "San Cristoforo" is the winery's iconic wine and represents the maximum expression of its production philosophy: low yields, meticulous viticulture and natural vinification to enhance the terroir.
